Hey team, I have a really exciting announcement to share with you all and that is that our company has purchased Loom licenses for you all.

If you haven't heard of Loom before, loom is a video communication platform for Async work. I'm actually using it right now so you can see an example of one way that we are going to be using Loom moving forward.

In just a second, I wanna talk to you all about why we are purchasing Loom and our hopes for you all in using Loom and how it is going to improve your day-to-day communication and work.

But if you haven't seen Loom before, here is a video of a loom up here in the corner and a Loom is essentially a recording of anything going on on your screen as well as your camera bubble.

This is a much more effective and efficient and fun and human way to communicate with one another without having to meet Live.

Now Loom is not necessarily going to replace all these other forms of communication that we rely heavily on in our organization, but if you are communicating something where the tone matters, it is longer than one or two sentences and you need any sort of visuals to explain, you're gonna go ahead and

use Loom for that. This is gonna save us a ton of time on live meetings and it's going to allow us to work more asynchronously as we are all remote and working across different time zones.

Alright, with that, I would love to share with you all some of my very favorite reasons why, um, people love using Loom and some of the things I'm hoping to see here at our organization.

First of all, I know we have a very meeting heavy culture currently. Um, people who use Loom are typically able to reduce their meeting amount by 29%.

Our hope is that this is going to give you guys a lot of freedom from those back-to-back meetings that zoom fatigue and give you a lot more time back in your day to conduct that deep work.

Get into that creative mindset that's so hard to get into when we are jumping back and forth between meetings. Number two, loom is going to make you guys wildly efficient, um, more efficient.

Um, okay, let's stop that. We'll edit that out. Okay. Number two, our hope is that Loom is gonna make you guys even more efficient with your existing tools.

As we are conducting our onboarding and training with you all, we will give, um, more examples of when to loom and how to loom and when to be using our more traditional forms of communication like Slack and email and Zoom meetings.

Number three, loom increases connection. This is so important to us as an organization.

It's one of our OKRs this quarter is to help all of you guys feel more connected. Although we are still in a distributed workforce and by sharing a video message rather than a written form of a communication, we're gonna start creating these very authentic and human moments together in the workplace.

Number three, loom is really, really fun. I can tell you that from experience, I have been piloting it over the last couple months here and I hope, as you guys can see from this video message today, um, when you have your face and your tone attached to your message, it is really so much more fun and

engaging to watch than reading a

Boring old Slack message or an email announcement. Loom speeds up Burke and in fact, loom users report that they can complete their projects about 53% faster.

So today, if you are working with a different teammate who is in a different, um, department or time zone or different part of the world or you're working with a customer, how can you currently move your project along in the middle of the night if you're working asynchronously, this is the case for a

lot of us during this remote era that we are in. Loom is gonna allow you guys to instantly move those projects forward, not lose any momentum cuz you can simply hit record, share your message and send it off asynchronously without having to meet live.

This is my personal favorite thing about Loom so far coming from an enablement background is that when you record a loom, all of a sudden you're gonna start amassing this institutional recorded knowledge so we can say it once shared a thousand times.

This is going to be instrumental in our help center and in onboarding new team members cuz we have everything recorded and ready to share.

How cool is that? And most of you guys probably already know this, all you you youngins, uh, who know about Instagram rails and TikTok and YouTube videos, but video is the most engaging online content types.

So we really wanna start leaning into that within our workforce. Um, and those are just some of the reasons. So you guys will see some more announcements about this.

We're gonna be sharing a lot of, um, different things as we go through this rollout and we'll be announcing these in Loom so you guys get really familiar, um, with what is Loom and how we're gonna be using it.

If you have any comments, questions, or thoughts, let me enable you on how to use Loom right away as a viewer.

You can go ahead and drop a comic below. You can add any emoji of your choosing. Feel free to rewatch this.

You can watch it in two x speed if you like, and we are just really excited to be taking the journey to better communication at scale.

Thanks everyone.
