Hi, I'm Sam from the loom team. And I'm going to show you how to use async video to record handoffs between marketing to design.

My colleague, Joe has filmed an example of how he hands off some design work ideas to our colleagues on the brand design team.

Hey everyone, I'm Joe from the product marketing team at Loom, and as you're probably already noticing I'm a pretty good artist, but even I have to ask for help from our design team sometimes.

So in a minute here, I'm going to kind of get into character and walk you through what that process might look like at loom, where I might have an idea for something I want to ask for help from design hand, an idea off to design so that they can kind of flesh it out.

Before I kind of get into character, though, I thought it might be useful for me to explain why I liked using loom for this particular use case so much.

So on top of being able to add kind of human context to an idea that maybe isn't super fleshed out.

I can also do that without having to interrupt deep focus time for a designer that's like really in the zone.

I don't have to kind of like break up their day with a meeting. That was really me. Just kind of like explaining an idea.

Now I'll usually include a brief along with this, which I'll show in a second, but the other thing that's really nice about this is that as the project kind of matures, as we go from day zero to maybe this is a larger project, that's still going on in six months and a new designer gets brought on at that point, what they're able to do is they're able to kind of review all of those initial recordings to feel like they were there at the initial kind of kickoff and really be able to kind of consume easily the initial thinking kind of like the initial brainstorming around where something started.

So they have like kind of the full picture for something. So that being said, let me jump in and I'll kind of walk through this as if I was actually asking for help from our design team here at loom.

So thanks everyone for checking out my loom sorry, this idea isn't more fleshed out, but I thought what if we had a, a really clear decision tree for our customers that kind of explained when, and, and one of the best times to use Llumar.

So here you can see, I drew a really happy customer. So this is the effect that I think is going to take place.

Now, the other thing I did create a brief, so so there is a little bit more detail for everybody, but the, I won't kind of read through everything here, but a couple of things to call out.

So we have had asks from customers on here.  But for this for this similar idea, and we've also got some previous kind of takes at this now big thanks to to George D for creating this, this kind of decision tree as well.

We've had a previous version of this too, and, and most people seem to like this, but it's kind of hard to visually grasp very quickly.

So here's my ideas. I've also got some directional ideas and some more detailed below, but let me know if you have any questions, either comment on this, this recording, this loom, or feel free to comment in the in the notion page here too.

All right. Thanks everyone.
