I think beyond a sense of urgency, successful people have an ability to dive into the actions that matter. I've met (and worked with) lot's of high energy people who are unsuccessful because they are spinning their wheels building websites or decks or prototypes, but not shipping for profit.

Thanks - I am one of those. I agree it is a self sabotaging thing. It is probably fear of failure. If you don't start you cant prove that you are right thinking you will fail. Buying time to postpone facing the limiting believe.

Too good! I honestly think it comes from a place of self-preservation. I think some folks have been at the place of urgently trying to implement everything they learned and looked up one day, burnt out, asking themselves “wtf am I doing?!” While still not getting the results they want. You mentioned knowing you’re on the right path. Would love to know how you know that upfront. And also this is a wake up call to stop playing with myself, and hanging around other people who also lack that urgency. Thanks for sharing!

Very insightful! (and frustrating, haha) I wonder if procrastination or 'lack of urgency' might come from being overwhelmed by too much urgency - as contradictory as it might sound. Systems shutting down or something... Or, perhaps fear of failure? As long as you haven't given it a decent go, you cant fail, either. But that's just my layman's guess at the psychology behind it :)
There's nothing like the rush of adrenalin you feel when you are on to something great. But it might be interesting to get to the bottom of the reason you feel like avoiding getting something done, instead. Must be a workshop for that? 🙃

Thank you Jonathan! 🙏I was one of these people. I'm trying to choose something different. Personally, for myself, I think it came from unresolved trauma. So yes, self-sabotage, but there was a trauma-based self-preservation underlying cause. But life has conspired to gently push me into a place of necessary urgency. :')
