We'll be studying a variety of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in literacy, and children will be tested on their spellings every Tuesday. We'll also be focusing on specific spelling, punctuation, and grammar objectives each week. In numeracy, we'll be starting with a unit on measurement and incorporating time into that. Our topic for this half term is Stone Age to Iron Age, and for the second half, it's sports and leisure. We'll also be exploring what it means to be a Muslim in Britain today in RE and learning about changing states and properties of materials in science. Please support your child with their reading, and we'll be introducing them to Microsoft Publisher in ICT. There will also be opportunities for discussions on coping with change, puberty, and emotions. Class Dojo is our preferred way of communication, but the link box remains an important tool. Looking forward to a great term!"}
