Today we are launching into public beta Custom coded modules for quotes, which lets admins and developers replace default quote sections or build fully custom quote modules, with interactive UI for buyers and quote creators. I demoed modules like dynamic testimonials by industry and a payment schedule module where reps can choose phases, names, and due dates. To get started, enroll in the beta via Product Updates for Commerce Pro and Enterprise, then use our GitHub starter project and HubSpot command line to build and upload modules.\n\nQUICK START GUIDE\n1. Install the HubSpot CLI if you haven't already: https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/developer-tooling/local-development/hubspot-cli/install-the-cli\n2. Go into your portal of choice and get a Personal Access Key (Development --> Keys --> Personal Access Key). Claude can guide you through this too, use that to authenticate to the CLI.\n3. Select a portal to use and make sure the portal has Commerce Pro or Enterprise (trial versions are ok!), then enroll in the beta via Product Updates \n4. Make a folder on your computer you're going to work out of (ex. I called mine \"Customizing_Quote_Templates\")\n5. Download the starter project from Github and add it to your folder: https://github.com/HubSpot/quote-dev-starter\n6. Use Claude Code or Cowork (working inside your folder) to help brainstorm ideas and then write a spec for the module you want to create (ex. payment_schedule.md) \n7. Ask your AI agent to build the spec\n8. Once it's built, you can deploy the files to HubSpot yourself (i.e. run \"npm run deploy\" in Terminal inside the folder) or ask Claude/Codex/Gemini/etc. to do it for you. \n\nHave fun :)"}
