This video demonstrates the process of entering a test student into the system and activating the student record.

The demonstration begins with the creation of a test student. The student status is changed to Active, and an email address is entered. The user selects the placement type of student; however, the placement type should already default to Undergraduate when the student is entered.

Once the student is added to the account, the demonstration moves to the student&apos;s biographical banner. From there, the Fit Assessment section is opened. Each Fit Assessment option is checked so that all assessments are enabled for the student’s portal.

At this point the counselor attempts to invite the student to the portal, but an error message appears stating that the student’s email address is already in use by another account. The counselor then edits the test student’s email address to a new one. After the change, the invitation to the Student Portal is successfully sent.

The demonstration then navigates to the student’s email inbox and shows the invitation email sent from notifications@counselmore.com
. The student would click the green portal invitation button and confirm their email address to activate the portal account.

After entering the portal, the student completes the intake questions on the Welcome Mats. The responses to those questions immediately appear in the counselor’s portal.

The video then shows the student entering academic history for approximately 45 classes across their high school years. (Note: this portion of the video is now slightly outdated.)

Once all assessments are completed, the student’s responses are automatically applied to the Fit Report. This report is available in the Counselor List and Student List as a data column.

When the counselor clicks “Eval Fit,” a report is generated comparing the student’s academic preparation with the student’s college aspirations. The report highlights alignment and gaps between the student’s current academic profile and their intended college goals.</description></oembed>
