I’m building in public and shared a quick update on deploying my Next.js portfolio website to AWS with Terraform, after initializing the project, setting up GitHub, and establishing the base framework. I walked through the core Next.js structure, including pages for file based routing, components for reusable UI blocks, public for static assets, and next.config.js where I set output export to compile everything into a static out directory. This makes the site cost effective and secure to host with global static file delivery. My next step is writing the Terraform to provision the AWS CDN to serve it worldwide.
