In this video, I shared what to expect from your civics class this year, which will be taught by Mr. Major and me, bringing a combined thirty-five years of experience. We will explore the origins of our nation and your role as a responsible citizen in both local and global communities, including a community service requirement of three hours each trimester. Please come prepared with a one-inch binder or folder for your materials, your school agenda, and a book for Sustained Silent Reading on Fridays. I encourage you to choose a book that interests you and is at a comfortable reading level. I look forward to meeting each of you in the first week of school!
