I highlight research including Black and Wiliam 1998, and EEF 2018 evidence showing around two additional months progress at GCSE level, plus feedback that drives change in learning and boosts motivation and confidence. I share great practice such as active engagement, clear success criteria, feedback leading to action, targeted questioning, and responsive teaching with low stakes checks. I also suggest practical ideas like mid lesson checks, life marking, and retrieval practice, and remind you to ask what students understand and what to do next. I asked you to try at least one new idea in your teaching this week.</description></oembed>
