The new editor is designed to feel familiar and intuitive, similar to PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Canva, but with added Hive functionality. Slides now have fixed dimensions, so content stays in place regardless of screen size or device, preventing layouts from shifting between computers or smartboards. Teachers can now lock tools on the screen to stop them from being accidentally moved during lessons. Text editing has also been improved with easier resizing and more font options. A major update is the ability to add any Hive digital learning tool directly into slides, allowing tools like hundred squares, ten frames, timers, spinners, Beedle, and the student picker to be used within the same slide deck. Teachers can also save custom slide layouts as templates for quick reuse. The template library has been expanded, including editable lists such as whiteboard expectations and Must Do/May Do boards. Additional features include sticky notes with connecting arrows, tables, images, YouTube videos, Spotify audio, and Hive videos, plus presentation tools like drawing, highlighting, and a laser pointer.
