In this Loom, I'm going to show you the core spreadsheet inside the Beginner Bookkeeping Kit. This is perfect if you're starting your business or you've had a business for a while and you're trying to find a way to manage your money better. The first step is to track our income and expenses, and this spreadsheet was created with a lot of things in mind, especially giving you a bigger view of your money monthly, yearly, and even as five years. We're adding a lot of graphics, so if you're a little bit more visual, this is definitely going to be beneficial for you. I'll show you where you're going to start, and it's going to be in the tab "Trend Categories." Once you've added everything here, you can move on to the "Transactions" tab, which is super simple and self-explanatory. You can add the date of the transaction, the amount, and choose the category. I'll pause the video to add a few other pieces of information so you can see what that would look like on the backend. We have a month dashboard, a year dashboard, and even a five-year dashboard. We also have a profit first dashboard, budget, and a cash flow forecast tab. This way, you can see that this is very robust, and we do leverage a lot of graphics.
