The CHIP is a &apos;voluntary&apos; program open to all equines born and/or domiciled in Canada. The Initiative includes horses, donkeys, mules, hinnies, etc., from the Equidae/Horse Family. Microchipping is a reliable and globally accepted method of providing permanent and quick identification of equines for life. Microchips address concerns about equine health history, disease control, proof of ownership and more. The ‘124-000’ microchips are available to vets and breed registries through our partner and supplier, EIDAP, a Canadian Company. Please visit http://everyhorsecounts.ca to learn more. We wish to thank the owners who contributed photos of their horses to this video, as well as Dr. Wayne Burwash (Alberta) for his contributions and photos for scanning and microchipping a horse.</description></oembed>
