In this video, I share my journey and the importance of addressing Lyme disease in Delaware, sparked by the stories of constituents like Abby and Beverly, who faced severe health challenges due to this illness. Over the past ten years, we have worked together with legislators and health organizations to pass 18 laws aimed at improving awareness, education, and treatment for Lyme disease. Notably, we established a Lyme disease education oversight board to ensure that accurate information is disseminated to both medical professionals and the public. I urge everyone to continue supporting these efforts and to stay informed about Lyme disease prevention and management. Together, we can make a significant impact on the health of our community.
