It covers No Show and Cancelation Data.

Adherence focuses on Patient Behaviors and Schedule Outcomes that can have a negative impact on your Practice - Particularly No Shows, Cancellations, and Late Patients.

No Shows: A No Show is a Patient Visit with a Cancellation Reason &quot;Patient No Show&quot;. That is required to register a No Show in the database and a reason why DOCPACE also reports on Same Day Cancellations.

No Show Rate: The Rate at which a scheduled visit has an outcome of Patient No Show. It is important to note, that the No Show Rate reported by DOCPACE is different then what you will see in Athena. We look only at the visits scheduled day of when calculating this metric as we believe it is more accurate and impactful. It is there to emphasize only the impact of this outcome on visits that you expected to happen. The two separate calculations are below.

Docpace No Show Rate : Visits No Show/(Visits Completed + Visits No Show)
Athena No Show Rate: Calculated by dividing (1) a practice’s total number of appointments cancelled with a “Patient no-show” reason during the month in question by (2) the total number of appointments scheduled for the same month for that practice.

Same Day Visits: Any Visits that were added and completed on your schedule on their date of service.

No Show Recapture%: A comparison between your total No Shows and total Same Day Visits. It is emphasizing the rate at which you add more visits to the schedule than you lose on the day of service. This is visualized in the Appointment Recapture view and can be adjusted to display a No Show Rate % line graph.

Lead Time: Is the average duration from a Patient Scheduling their Visit to Completing their Visit. No Show Rates are then displayed based on Lead Time, separated into 10 Day increments with a count of scheduled Patients in that category.

By Day: Breakdown of No Show Rate by individual Day. This view can expand based on your Filter Date. Hovering over an individual Day will provide the days details.

Chronic No Shows: A list of Patients in the database exceeding certain thresholds that you can set - No Show, Same Day Cancellation, or Both. The list will provide a Patient ID, Date of Most Recent Visit, and Total Count for the defined Metric along with their Individual Rate. The Date Range will filter to Patients who have scheduled a visit in that timeframe.

Forecast Forward: The Chronic No Show View Can Forecast forward up to two weeks, providing you a list of upcoming Patients on the schedule who have exceeded your set threshold.

Cancellations: Reviews all visits that were cancelled in the date range. The visualization can be adjusted from total Visits Cancelled and Rescheduled or a line graph of your Same Day Cancellation Rate.

Same Day Cancellation Rate: The percentage of appointments that were cancelled on their scheduled date.

Cancelation Recapture %: The rate at which a canceled visit is also immediately rescheduled.

By Notice Time: The average days from an appointment when a visit is cancelled.

By Day: Breakdown of Same Day Cancellation by individual Day. This view can expand based on your Filter Date. Hovering over an individual Day will provide the days details. This includes a breakdown of the Top 10 Cancellation Reasons.</description></oembed>
