A channel segments jobs into different areas or functions, and acts as a boundary for optimisation and assignment, so jobs can only be assigned to shifts and drivers within that channel. I showed how to view channels in Dispatch using Select a channel, and noted that visibility depends on your account permissions. I then showed how to create a new channel in Settings, Channel settings, and that External reference is optional for API use.
