I might add a single line text or a calculation, then decide I do not want it, but remove versus delete behaves differently because side templates and the main template are separate. Sometimes fields get removed from the view, but they can still float around in the default area, so I have extra work. I recommend having delete ask whether to remove from this layout or delete from the app so I do not have to go back and find it in the main database.
