In this presentation, I discussed the importance of good attendance and how even a 90% attendance rate can lead to significant learning loss—equivalent to about four weeks of missed lessons in a school year. I outlined the school’s policies regarding absences, including the consequences for unexcused absences, such as losing final exam exemptions and potential truancy referrals. I encourage all parents to actively monitor their child's attendance, communicate with the school about absences, and promote consistent attendance to help their child achieve their full potential. Together, we can improve our school’s attendance rates and, in turn, enhance overall student achievement.
