First, I go to Settings, Permissions, edit the role, and enable Allow Users to Update Stock from Products so the Update Stock button appears. Then I open a product, search by MFG, Raw Size, Brand, or Style, and add or subtract units, like adding 6 tires to go from 124 to 130, selecting the bin. I also explain how to require Movement Reason in Settings, Generals.
