In this Loom I answered how the system accounts for differences in distance between the device and the target. Total Light Sensor does not measure distance and does not perceive depth, since all measurements are taken as bidimensional images. To account for slope distance, you measure it during installation and enter it in the Total Light platform during baseline setup, and the most accurate method is using a total station. No other action is required beyond providing the distance during setup.</description></oembed>
