I demonstrate how to set the closing date to February 1st, 2026, which prevents any modifications to transactions prior to that date. If you need to make adjustments, you can easily backdate the closing date to allow for changes, such as journal entries from January. I also highlight the importance of noting the GL password for reopening periods. Please make sure to follow these steps carefully to maintain the integrity of your accounting periods.
