We run as root on Linux and on Mac OS, and there is a download link for Windows too. The download link regenerates every 24 hours, so the old address will expire, and sharing it with a colleague can cause errors. The MS installer does not need daily downloads if you are installing on a new machine. If you can run Configuration Manager, you can also install from bash.
