I'm Ala Ahmed, a special education teacher at PS92, and I'm excited to share with you a project I'm working on with my fourth-grade ICT class. We're investigating the reasons behind students' lack of motivation in school, which has become a social problem at PS92. In this video, I'll be outlining the five main causes we'll be examining over the course of a week, and the activities we'll be doing each day to collect data and create graphic organizers. We'll be using our devices and writing notebooks to record our findings, and at the end of the project, we'll conduct a survey to determine which cause is the most significant. I'll also be introducing the six steps of PPA, or the Public Policy Analyst, which we'll be using to analyze our findings and create a policy memo.
