Het doel van de test is om de brandveiligheid van de ChargeHyve® te evalueren. Bijgestaan door Volkert, een ervaren brandweerman van Brandweer Twente, wordt de ChargeHyve onderworpen aan een intensieve test. Tijdens de test wordt een snijbrander gebruikt om warmte te genereren, terwijl 16 verschillende thermokoppels de temperatuurmetingen verzorgen. Opmerkelijk is dat de temperaturen in de kast buitengewoon hoog oplopen, met metingen van 1200 tot wel 1300 graden Celsius. Na verloop van tijd wordt de buitenkant van de kast te heet om aan te raken, terwijl er geen vlammen zichtbaar zijn aan de buitenkant. De deur van de kast blijft stevig gesloten. De test wordt als een succes beschouwd, waarbij de ChargeHyve gedurende anderhalf uur in staat blijkt om de extreme hitte te weerstaan en zijn functionaliteit te behouden. De samenwerking met Volkert en Brandweer Twente wordt gewaardeerd, zij wensen ChargeHyve succes met hun product. -- TOELICHTING CHARGEHYVE -- De ChargeHyve® is een oplaadlocker speciaal ontworpen voor e-bike batterijen.
