In this lesson, I'll show you how to do the mixer activities, which are designed especially for students who want to improve their listening skills. The activity is simple: there will be a question or topic and you'll hear six people from different parts of the world discuss it. After listening for enjoyment, you can take a quiz and learn the key vocabulary in the lesson. You can do this activity in three phases: listen for enjoyment, take the quiz, and read the script. The best thing is that you can choose another topic that interests you and hear six more people discuss it. These lessons help students focus on what's being said and increase their chances of understanding more. The English is natural and real, not textbook English. This is one of my favorite activities on LO and I think it's a really good way to learn English.
