Today. I&apos;m going to show you how to create an assignment for your class.

There are two ways to do this, and one way to create it is directly from the Binogi homepage. So if you look up here, there are a number of tabs and we&apos;re going to select ‘assignments’.

Right below, you will see “Create Assignment.” Once you click it, this window will pop up.

Up here, it asks you to type what lesson you are assigning to your class. You are going to type in the name of the Binogi lesson that you have chosen for your class. Make sure you know the name of the lesson before you get onto this page. For this video, I’m going to create an assignment on a lesson called ‘Angles’.
Once you select the lesson, you can either assign the video, quizzes, or both of them. I&apos;m going to assign both video and quizzes for my class.

Next, you have to select a class that you are assigning this assignment to. You click on this tab and if you have more than one class, you will see a list of all your classes. I&apos;m going to choose Grade six.

You can also, create an assignment for a specific student or students.

Next, you have to choose a start date and due date with a specific time. And lastly, you can leave a comment for your class or students.

I&apos;m going to write: “Watch this video in any language you wish, then do Quiz 1. Good luck!”
So here I said quiz one, because most of the videos come with three quizzes. However, if you look up here, there are no quiz numbers. So to avoid any confusion, I mentioned the quiz number in the comment box.

So once I click ‘save,’ you see this green notification indicating that the assignment has been successfully created.

Another way to create an assignment is by going to the selected Binogi lesson. I&apos;m going to look for the same video, Angles.
So if you look above the video, it says, create assignment. You click this, then the same window pops up.

As I mentioned earlier, there are three quizzes. Here, you can see that quiz one is in blue, whereas quiz 2 and 3 are in grey with a lock. This means that you have to pass Quiz 1 to unlock Quiz 2 and pass Quiz 2 to unlock Quiz 3. For each quiz, students will have 2 chances to answer a question correctly. If they lose both chances, they can always re-try the quiz anytime.

The quizzes are ordered by difficulty from the easiest to the most challenging. So I would recommend assigning quiz one as a diagnostic assessment or formative assessment that students complete before or after watching the video. And if the students want to be challenged they can move on to quiz two and three.

In terms of the types of questions, Quiz one consists of multiple choice questions, whereas Quiz two and three consist of multiple choices, fill in the blanks, and/or written responses.

Now I’m going to show you what a student’s account looks like when they are assigned with a new assignment.

Once they log into their Binogi account, they&apos;ll see newly assigned Binogi lesson on their homepage. So here is the name of the Binogi lesson they need to work on with the due date and time.

When they click on the lesson, they will see the tasks they need to complete above the video.

And as they complete each task, they will see these check marks. Once students finish the quizzes, you, as a teacher, have an access to each student&apos;s quiz results.

To review this, you are going to go back to the Binogi homepage. From the homepage, click on ‘assignments’, and then select the name of the lesson that you would like to analyze.
We&apos;re going to take a look at the four basic arithmetical operations. Here, you can see that this student has completed all three quizzes and it shows how the student did on each question by using different colours and symbols. Up here, it explains what each colour and symbol means.

Lastly, once you scroll down the page, the most difficult questions for the student are displayed.

So I hope that this video was informative. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the researchers.

Thank you!</description></oembed>
