In the browse books section, I store structured book data like title, series, author, subgenre, year, pages, and rating in MariaDB, and you can filter by subgenre with an SQL query, or add a new book or series. For recommendations, I use Redis to track Want to Read counts when you click the heart, and to show Top Rated books sorted by rating in descending order. For longer content and images, I use MongoDB for cover art, synopsis, and reviews, and you can click a title to add more.
