Users can process a payment, select a start date and description, split expected tax across multiple rates, and log the payment as a deposit; the system automatically creates the positive and negative payments, closes related bills, and declares tax. If the start date or description needs updating, it can be edited, while tax cannot be changed after declaration; mistakes are corrected via Cancel Deposit, which reissues the bill flow. The new feature will run alongside the old one for now, with further automation planned such as intelligent deposit logging and linking to availability blocks or reservations.
