A friend panicked because an old boss showed up as viewing their profile moments after searching them, and it turned out their LinkedIn visibility was set to show profile viewing. I walked you through going to LinkedIn settings and privacy, then visibility, to change profile viewing options. You can choose name and headline, private profile characteristics, or total private mode, which makes you show up as anonymous LinkedIn, and generally hides who views your profile.
