I hide all non needed layers, work bottom up on the base layer, and then copy and paste cut layers into the base color while aligning by the base, using 0,0 carefully. I show how to fix symbol stroke sizing issues and catch problems in QC, like green production lines that should be yellow or outside clean lines. I also switch sew line alignment to outside where needed, verify measurement matches, and ensure panels are oriented correctly with reflect vertically.
