I hope you can learn from my experience. I initially didn't bother reading the Specialized Curriculum Booklet because I thought I knew what I wanted to do based on my interests and what my friends were choosing. However, things didn't go as planned, and I ended up with teachers I didn't like and subjects that weren't what I expected. My advice is to read the specialized curriculum booklet, choose subjects you enjoy and excel in, and listen to your teachers, regardless of who they are or who you'll be in a class with.
