We show that even with a small 4 MB file, rapid mouse selections can cause micro-pauses and repeated “undo” moments because PowerPoint must process too many actions before it can keep up. We show fast selection increases movement and leads to more saving delays, and that the larger the filesize (such as 250 MB) the this worse problem becomes. Deactivating empower may improve selection slightly but the real solution is to select multiple objects slower. We end by suggesting logging a bug report to Microsoft if this behavior affects you.</description></oembed>
