In this Loom, I share my experience with undergraduate research at the Dallas lab, located in Milan Hall at Oregon State University. As a junior undergraduate majoring in nutrition with a dietetics option, I was interested in studying milk proteins to improve infant nutrition and digestion. I analyzed bioactive peptides in human donor milk and studied how the protein macrophage inflammatory protein 1-beta was impacted by processing methods such as pasteurization and high pressure processing. Throughout my experience, I faced challenges but was able to overcome them with the help of my mentor and lab colleagues. My key advice for pursuing undergraduate research is to research what you are interested in, always show up prepared, and take advantage of the opportunity to network with people in the field. Help is always available, and it&apos;s okay to switch gears if needed. Overall, it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone interested in pursuing undergraduate research.</description></oembed>
